How to use your icon pack

  1. Android: copy everything in android/res/ into app/src/main/res/. The adaptive icon XML already points at the right files.
  2. iOS: replace Assets.xcassets/AppIcon.appiconset in Xcode with the folder from ios/.
  3. Website or PWA: upload the files in web/ to your site's root and paste the tags from README.txt into your page's <head>.
  4. Play Store listing: upload android/playstore-icon-512.png as the app icon.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What sizes do I get?

Android launcher icons for mdpi to xxxhdpi, including round and adaptive (foreground + background) icons and the 512×512 Play Store icon; an iOS AppIcon set with Contents.json for Xcode; PWA icons at 192 and 512 plus a maskable icon; favicon.ico, 16/32/48 px favicons and the 180 px Apple touch icon; and splash screens for common phone and tablet sizes.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything is drawn with your browser's canvas and zipped on your device. Nothing is sent to our server.

What image should I start with?

A square PNG or SVG of at least 1024×1024 pixels works best. Use a transparent background if you want the tool to add your chosen background colour and shape.

Why does Android need a separate foreground icon?

Since Android 8, launchers crop icons into different shapes (circle, squircle, rounded square). Adaptive icons keep your logo inside a safe zone on a separate layer so it never gets cut off. This tool places it in that safe zone for you.

Can I use these icons in Flutter, React Native or Capacitor?

Yes. Copy the android/res folders into android/app/src/main/res and the AppIcon.appiconset into your iOS asset catalogue; the file names match what those frameworks expect.
