Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does the checker look at?

The HTML your server sends: title, meta description, canonical link, headings, language, structured data, viewport and zoom settings, image alt text, favicon, Open Graph and Twitter tags, robots.txt, the XML sitemap, and whether the www and non-www versions of your domain both work.

Why does it say my content only appears after JavaScript runs?

Many sites built with React, Vue or site builders send an almost empty HTML page and draw the content in the browser. Google can usually render it later, but link previews on WhatsApp, LinkedIn and X, and many other crawlers, only read the first HTML. Pre-rendering or server-side rendering fixes this.

Why is my link preview missing a picture?

Chat apps and social networks use the og:image tag. Add a 1200×630 pixel image with an absolute URL, e.g. <meta property="og:image" content="https://example.com/share.png">.

Does a high score guarantee rankings?

No. These are technical basics that stop problems; rankings also depend on useful content, links and how fast and usable your site is. A clean report means search engines can read your page properly.
