What you get

  • A signed release APK to install on any Android phone, or to share on your website or WhatsApp.
  • A signed AAB ready to upload in Google Play Console.
  • Your upload key (upload-key.jks) and its passwords, so you can publish updates later.
  • An app that loads your live site: change your website and the app updates instantly, with no new release needed.

Free vs. branding removed

The free build is a complete, signed app. It shows “Built with Vigocrest” on the splash screen for about a second. Removing the branding is a one-time payment per app. It rebuilds your app with the same package name and signing key, without the credit, and adds the full Android Studio project so any developer can take it further.

Questions

Website to APK: common questions

Is the website-to-APK builder free?

Yes. You get a signed APK and AAB at no cost. Free apps show a small "Built with Vigocrest" credit on the splash screen for about a second. A one-time payment removes it and also gives you the full Android Studio project.

What is the difference between APK and AAB?

An APK installs directly on Android phones, which is useful for testing or sharing your app yourself. An AAB (Android App Bundle) is the format Google Play requires for new apps; Play turns it into optimised APKs for each device.

Will Google Play accept my app?

Often, but not always. Google Play's policies reject apps that only display a website with nothing extra ("WebView spam" or minimum functionality). Apps for your own business, with sign-in, offline support, notifications or app-only features, have a much better chance. If you want help getting approved, Vigocrest can add those features and handle the listing.

What else do I need to publish on Google Play?

A privacy policy link and store graphics (a 512 px icon, a 1024×500 feature graphic and at least 2 screenshots). Make the policy with our free App Privacy Policy Generator, which also hosts it, and the graphics with the Play Store Screenshot Generator.

What is the signing key and why must I keep it?

Every Android app is signed with a private key. Your download includes upload-key.jks and its passwords. Google Play uses this key to confirm updates come from you, so keep a backup. If you lose it, you can ask Google to reset it when Play App Signing is on, but it takes time.

My phone says the APK can't be installed. What do I do?

Unzip the download and tap the .apk file. If Android blocks it, open Settings, search for "Install unknown apps" and allow the app you are opening it with (Files or Chrome). If it says "cannot be installed by this user", the phone is managed by an employer or has Advanced Protection on, so try another phone or install through Google Play.

How do I update my app later?

Make changes on your website and the app shows them immediately, because it loads your live site. To change the icon, name or colours, build again with the same package name and a higher version code, then upload the new AAB to Play.

Which websites can I convert?

Any website you own or have permission to publish, served over https. Login, payments and file uploads work. Add the domains of your login or payment pages under "Extra domains" so they open inside the app.

What Android versions are supported?

Android 6.0 and newer (about 99% of active devices), targeting Android 15 (API 35) as Google Play requires.
